Investor Clubs go to Massachusetts

Massachusetts is the latest addition to the growing list of states that are teaming with Impact Finance Center to launch a place-based Investor Club. You can think of these clubs as a virtual version of our in-person conference, CO Impact Days, which helped us catalyze more than $280M in impact investments in Colorado. These clubs link investors to social ventures that align with their values to ultimately facilitate impact investments into communities.

The Gilson Family Foundation (GFF), a private family foundation located in Marblehead, Massachusetts, is sponsoring the launch of the new Massachusetts Investor Cub. The Foundation has worked with Impact Finance Center, through its Fellowship program, for nearly three years and concluded that they need to meet other foundations and philanthropic investors with a similar focus and goals.

This Investor Club aims to build a community of impact investors in Massachusetts alongside the Gilson Family Foundation and expand the impact of support to nonprofits in Massachusetts, primarily in the areas of care, cure, education and basic human needs.

“We love collaborating with other foundations and organizations and feel that the Investor Club is another avenue to enhance that collaboration,” said Peter Spina, a trustee of the Gilson Family Foundation. “Thanks to Steph and her team we have learned of so many more ways to help our grantees.”

Join the Massachusetts Investor Club and learn how you can invest in the businesses and organizations that are working to make a difference for Massachusetts. Impact investors will share stories and the audience will hear discussions about community needs, projects and social ventures. Massachusetts-based organizations will present quick pitches for investment opportunities. You’ll also have access to live deals so that you can begin activating capital right away.

If you are an accredited investor with an interest in advancing communities, businesses and nonprofits in Massachusetts, you don’t want to miss being a part of the Massachusetts Investor Club.
