David Buchwald has been a Senior Advisor with Impact Finance Center since 2021. He advises investors who are seeking to support ventures that generate financial returns while also benefiting communities, the environment, and the world at large. An impact investor himself, David became interested in Impact Finance Center and its mission to help investors align their money with their values after attending an IFC Investor Club session and seeing an opportunity to directly support a new green technology aimed at combating climate change.
A tax attorney, David has prior experience as an economic analyst and is a former White Plains, New York, city council member who proceeded to serve four terms in the New York State Assembly. He successfully led efforts to improve the environment, transportation, utilities, and government ethics. He has a Bachelor of Science in physics from Yale University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a Master in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government.
